Necessary to Discharge 4000mah Pack?

I am not even 1 year new to using Li-ion equipment (all Duralite) and was curious about the need to discharge them using a charger (such as the Triton) for any reason? I am like many others out there that run the 4000 w/5.3 HD switched regulator, HS digitals, gov, etc. I have never tried to milk a bunch of flights (10-12) out of a pack between charges so I don't really have a feel for how many I can get.

Just looking for some advice.

No, lithum batteries dont have a memory like NiCads but I can fly 8 or 10 in a weekend before I am any where near 6.9v under load.
