I have the Logo 360 Askman mount. I wasn’t interested in doing panos with it so I decided to use the self leveling mount he sells. It wasn’t originally setup to have that camera mount on it but as usual, Askman is more than happy to tweak it to your needs. I also have a eRaven that I wanted to use with this mount so I got one of his new mounts with the adjustable width skid strap on option. There is a big difference in weight between the Logo and the eRaven so there is a small amount of flex on the arms where you attach the mount to your skids. Askman has a thicker plate that will take care of the flex.

I think I’m finally pretty much happy with my helicam mount. I like being able to have 360 pan, and I like having the self leveling mount because it really does its job well. Now I just need to get my heli back together and fly!

Here are a few pictures of the mount and how I mounted my self leveling mount to the Logo 360.

caine already had the mount, so it was easy to adapt it. in fact, I am going to offer it as option for different gimbals. the pro-gimbal that caine has is good for about 2lb load. next step up is roll only with shocks for roll damping on heavier duty gimbal.

standard is the pano gimbal that people are getting with the mount.

Yeah I really like this mount! I was going to use this on a Logo but I think I might use this on a Raptor or Raven.

What is the weight difference between the Logo and the Raptor mount Askman? Just setup with the standard mount. Basically is it just bigger with stronger material?

I will say that I really like the strap on option. He has given you enough room to go from a Logo to a Raven. I still had some room to extend them further if I wanted to.

And, if you look at the other mounts out there that do the same basic function, your saving about 500! I know they are totally different mounts, but they both have the same features. 360 pan with a self leveling mount. One is for gassers, the other is for.... the smart people. haha just couldn't "Not" say that one!

Cool Caine.

My current HCS sport 30 knockoff has self leveling in roll.

I just bought a askman 360 pan mount for the raptor and just got the standard fixed gimbal as I plan on doing panos and don't want any movement while shooting those. We'll see how that holds up when the weather breaks and I can get it in the air, or how fast I turn this mount into a self leveling in roll gimbal.

Thanks for the picts.

actually the size is same now. I decide to go that direction to offer belt drive on both. there are 2-3 smaller ones out there, who got it on the beta testing plan, which are the lightest. yes, it is just heavier material and add about 6-7oz to the weight. with the heavier top you are getting, it will be 5oz difference. that is why the price is similiar.

the better gimbal will add to the price. I will probably do a 2 axis heavy duty gimbal. Since I have roll only HD gimbal alread, I will add 2nd axis as an option. . (using same 120 degree shock layout though, but us bearinged setup on each axis. it will probably add $100.00 to the price of this setup. I want to design it so that you can lock it out. priced 25 for than single axis or 200.00 comes with tilt servo though.

Nice one Caine :) I see you are from Nashville. I live aproximately 2 hours northwest in Western KY around the Kentucky Lake area. It is a small world.
