Santa brought my youngest son his first airplane, a Multiplex Easystar. We got our first flight this afternoon and what a joy to fly. My wife gave it a toss, it was trimmed and I had him on the sticks within a minute of launch! Yes, it flies that good! I spent like 3 or 4 months building my first plane 20 years ago. Built this one in a couple of nights of goofing around! Has a great glide ratio.

VERY COOL wren. I'm glad that your son is enjoying your hobby with you!

So, how long until he's solo? And when is his first heli coming?

hey wren
What does the foamy cost. I dont count the electronics in this case, since they are transplant-able.

Thanx!

Available from Hobby-Lobby for $59.90. Includes motor and prop. You would need ESC, 2 servos (HS-81's work perfect) RX, battery.

Glues together with medium CA and kicker, (NOT foam safe CA!)

I would replace the stock prop with a 6 X 4E and an adapter.

Link for good, cheap battery packs: http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/main.asp?pgid=superlisting&sid=675392&model=344&manufacturer=12&type=airplane

The Elite 1500 is the way to go for $18.00.
