Looks like an XL 60 #1001 metal bent frame.

The gyro is a Futaba G501. It was Futaba's first piezo gyro. If it is operational it will work really well. It does not have AVCS mode, but it will still control the tail well.
The Heli looks to be an A Framed XL 60. The power to weight ratio is excellent with a 60 size engine in it. Other than the frames all the parts are still available for that model. There is a stacked aluminum or carbon fiber frame set available from MA. Just the A type frames are no longer produced.
Here is the manual for the gyro

Check the main frames carefully for hairline cracks, especially near the bolt holes for the bearing blocks for the main shaft. After many hours of use those aluminum frames fatigued had a tendancy to develop small cracks.

haha ok thanks for the tips maybe i will let the 4th owner
my friend got it 2nd hand. Fly once, throw one side. After 1 year take out and give me coz he say he dont want it already. Then now i am giving it away again LoL coz i dont think it will be able to take 3D with those plastic parts and some parts are really soft like the pitch tray ? :arggg:

dont give it away. the drive line is the same as the fury basic . it is the same except for frames and few other small parts as the 1001 st kit that ma sells today. alot of the parts are same thru all the x-cells. just get the x-cell you know you really want and keep this on for parts. just a thought Tom p.s. if not just send it to me :D

I've got that same heli. Haven't flown it in a while, but I think it flies great. Put an O.S. 61SX in it and fly the snot out of it.

Yep
Still got mine and it flies great. It's been upgraded a few times but
Depending on your HH gyro that you might want to put in, you might have to upgrade the single boom brace to the later double ones.
My ICG540 wouldn't lock in until I upgraded to the double brace.
Otherwise, OS70, digital servos, some gentle test flights and after that..give it some.
My Side frames after 17 years never cracked.

It's isn't still the wire drive tail is it? If so, you might want to upgrade that.
Do you have the engine mount, fan and clutch stack parts? If not you might want to cut you loses on this one.

Ray at RHR can get anything you need, as can Rick's. Heliproz 'might' carry some stuff.
Normally I would say call Ray, but you can email him as well; RAYS HELI

Mark,
Check with Dave Wilshere of Motor and Rotors. He is the MA importer/distributor in the UK. He may still have some of the older parts from MA.

That brings back memories. But I don't miss building the wooden radio tray.
