I've looked around, but can't find the G3.5 Sim without the controller and interlink anywhere. Since I already have a radio, (e-Flite and soon to be purchased DX7) I'd like to purchase the Sim sodtware by itself.

Oh yeah, I've got the MileHigh USB inetrface already.

Any suggestions?

The Interlink Controller is also a dongle for the software. It won't run unless it can see the controller

In the very short time I have owned the software, I learned that you cannot run it absent the controller. The first day I owned it, I called the company asking the very same question. FM

Even with that interface, it won't work, just like the other posters said. Here is a link on your interface cable & compatability chart: http://www.milehighwings.com/sim_compatibility.htm

Yes it WILL work without the dongle Tx that comes in the package you just have to know how to get around it. Do a google search, I am using it very well without the TX that it came with.

Here's the deal guys, We have a member here that is a developer with Knife Edge software, the folks who MAKE G3. Admitting to having a way to 'work around' it is an admission of piracy.
For What it's worth in the end, the $200 or so to get the LEGAL software is well worth it, You don't wear out the potentiometers in your primary flight radio.
Helifreak will not and does not condone the piracy of software from any source, especially if it means taking the food off another member's table.

I assume you are refering to me, correct me if I am wrong. If you will read my post it says that I am using it without the TX that it CAME with. I bought the package and prefer to use my TX. I am no computer geek by any means, all I had to do was a simple google search to find a way to use my tx with a usb adapter cord that I purchased from ebay. If you own the program why should you not be able to do whatever the heck you want to with it?

Technically you can't "do whatever the heck you want with it" with respect to selling copies, sharing with friends etc. Your post certainly sounded like you had obtained the software by nefarious means.

I just wish the pass through feature worked a bit better. I can't seem to get my TX working correctly (JR 622), and if I manage to get it mapped correctly the program promptly forgets the settings. I'm sure they'll get it sorted out. It's a pretty nice program despite the glitches.

The channel mapping issue should be fixed in the beta 3.50.041 update. I also believe it violates the license agreement to bypass the copy protection/dongle in any way.

Bypassing copy protection by any means certainly violates the DMCA in the US.
