I have the G3.5 and everytime i go to join a group the error message at the bottom of the screen says "could not send player package file" or something to that effect. I would really like to resolve this problem so i can join other groups.

Thank you,

I JUST went though this last night for like an hour.

Double check your firewall permissions make sure Realflight is in the list of allowed programs. Also I re-downloaded the 3.5 patch and did a force install.

Everything started working :dontknow

i appreciate the help so much but how do u do the second part i know the hardware side of computers but programing is over my head. if u could explain the re-download and force install then that would be great but if its too much trouble then don't worry about it i did check my firewall settings. although it did not work

When you start G3 go to Additional Options -> Updates -> Update to specific version -> (Click the latest version) -> and Click the check box that says "Completely Refresh"

There are a variety of errors that occur. Many times it is the realflight server and nothing can be done other than keep trying.
I have spoken to the G3 tech support and they are aware of the problems and are working on it.
I believe they have fixed many because I have had few problems most of the time in the last month or so. But this last week they have arose again. I think that many more people are going online since the 3.5 outbreak :D
causing a larger than expected load on their system.

When you have problems, you should send an EMAIL to RealFlight. Maybe if we all send an EMAIL to RF every time an error occurs, then maybe they will get tired of it and fix the problems once and for all.

Send a description of the problem to: rfsupport@greatplanes.com
They will probably ask you to provide them with your system data, but they tell you how to do this. very easy. G3 does it for you!

They responded to me pretty quickly.

Good luck guys!
