View Full Version : More of a battery question than a Logo question...

I have a Flight Power EVO 10s1p 3700 mAh battery. It has 7 cycles of which 3 were to condition the pack. The other 4 had dicharges of no more than 70%. The question/problem is that one of the cells is consistently 0.3 volts lower than the other cells at the end of charging. The TP 210V brings all the cells to with in 0.10 volt. Do you think that I might have a faulty cell or is this typical of the Flight Power batteries?

I use a Thunder Power 1010 and 210V balancer at 2.8 Amps to 100% and store the cells at 3.85 volts.

I posted this here because the Logo 14 pilots have the most experience with these batteries.

Thanks,
John

Hello John,

Do you charge the pack without the balancer and then connect it or do you charge with the balancer connected? If so does the balancer get warm?

If you do a flight with the pack freshly charged and balanced - how is the cell voltages after the flight?

I have one 10S and one 6S EVO pack and they stay balanced at all time so it doesnt sound right.

I have seen this a few times wiht new packs i would recommend doing a few short flights like say 2 to 3 minutes easy flights and re charge wiht balancer hooked up and make sure it is good and balanced before you pull it off try to get to the 15 cycle mark and they should settle down i had a 6s pack just do the same thing it was only 6 cycles old but after slowly discharging and balancing a few times the pack is matched nicely now
If you continue to have a problem wiht the pack contact flight power they will take care of it

Thanks Guys.

I flew the pack twice today and is seems to be balancing better.

I always charge this pack with the TP 1010 with the 210V balancer hooked up through the charger. Today after balancing I had all the cells within .005 volts and an overall charge of 41.8 volts.

After a flight the cells are with in the TP 210V blanancers acceptable limits but the low cell is .25 volts out.

I will give it a few more cycles.

Thanks,
John
