Hi All
Tonight I logged into an online fly (dont recall the name) and someone (Chris (something or other)) asked me to let them know if this would cause my G3 (I have 3.5) to crash. Whatever he did, it crashed. G3 asked me if I wanted to report this to knife-edge. I did. I went back in and asked what they had done. They would not tell me. I asked a couple more times and they told me that they were able to 'overwrite MY memory' causing a buffer overflow problem. I dont know what they really did, but this is a bug. I told them that I wanted to report this bug but then they shut down their fly.

Although I doubt that anyone could get into your computer through this problem in G3, I do not know for sure.

If anyone knows this problem, please report it to realflight or tell me and I will. I do not think this 'power' should be abused.

I have emailed tech support, but since I know little here, it probably wont be much good for now.

Thanx.

it sounds like a security issue with the network portion of the program. Remember all the trouble M$ had with windows security? yep.. buffer overflow.
Technically someone could introduce a virus to a machine (or any code for that matter) with a buffer overflow vulnerablity. M$ has introduced some code to help prevent that in windows but it still happens..
