Target practice on my new missile-launching Helizone Combat fighter. Yes, I'm new at this. Got my first heli (Syma S107) for Christmas. :bacon

Just started nose-down tic tocs this week. I have quite a bit of practice yet to do with nose-left. I have nose-right nailed down though. I want to be able to do 4-point tic tocs at the field this year. :)

Excellent! Very good control. You could do 4 points now

Excellent! Very good control. You could do 4 points nowThanks Raza.
I can make aileron and tail corrections during the maneuver while nose-down. Same with tail down. Same with elevator and tail corrections tail-left, but struggling with the corrections during tail-right.
I have plenty of time to practice being it's dead of winter here.

Been working on this for a while now. Last year I was only doing tail-down and nose-right tic-tocs at the field. So the nose-down and nose-left you'll see in this video are just Sim skills. Same with the 4-point. There's so much going on in this manuever, and timing is critical! I still have a ways to go before they get pretty. But I'm happy so far and am confident that I can pull this off with the real heli once spring arrives.

Sweet. Yeah you'll be doing those for real your next time out. Don't even think about it just do them. You'll be surprised

still getting used to the heli, both vids have some wind in them the first has 10mph gusts from behind which sucked. still gotta get confident to in my piro flips to get them within non noobish heights.
havent flown since sept either, i failed to get a 50 nitro flying so i bought this and i switched from a dx8 to the 8fg which is :thumbup:

RaZa, it would be of great input if you further explained what you are doing with the controls, not that your vids are'nt awesome already, although they would be even more usefull if you explained what to do with the controls. Its hard to watch them and the bird at the same time. Just a thought, thanks-Keep up the good work!!! BC :noteworthy
noted (and thank you), but only so much I can do. i try to keep explanations as simple as I possibly can without overbearing and confusing dictation of the controls. i try to teach people how to teach themselves, not through rote memorization of the stick movements. essentially I try to help people attain those "click" moments.
I also try to help the view a bit. if you notice I have the heli centered on the right half of the screen which allows me to show a much bigger radio on the left side of the screen.

Nice job. Now try slowing your piros down a little more. At those piro speeds it's kinda hard to figure out what corrections are needed.

EXCELLENT! Now that's what I like to see. Very good practicing! With effort like that you will end up with very good control. Keep up the great work!

Thanks.. all because of your advice.. I'll have to put more stick time into this..
Slow.. that's the key to train natural reflexes...

Not too bad, but you have a bit of smoothing out to do. Try rolling a lot slower. In fact try to only get in 1 or 2 at most rolls per circuit at first. As you get better and smoother you can speed up the aileron
