Anyone using a GWS R6N receiver for your Shogun? I am having trouble and I sure it is simple, but can't seem to figure it out.
I am using a JR8103 and the GWS receiver, everything is working like it should, except when I go to set my Pitch Curves/Throttle Curves, I can't seem to change the pitch.
What am I doing wrong? It is not like I haven't set up other heli's... but this is my first electric with a ESC.... could that be part of the problem?
Thanks for any help ! I am ready to get this little beast in the air !

Hey Hotshot,
I know you probably have checked this, and I only say it b/c I've done it in the past, but when you are setting your curves are you sure you have your idle up switch in the proper position? I use a JR 6102 and have done that more than once in the past. I go to do my curves and think I"m adjusting normal or idle up and I'm actually doing the opposite b/c I haven't flipped the switch.
W/out a better description of the trouble you're having the that is the best guess I can give ya off the top of my head. More details may be needed to figure it out.

Hey J,
Yes, I am in the right mode on the transmitter to move the curves, just doesn't move anything....
Here is how I have my inputs set on my GWS receiver:
Let me first say this.... I am looking at the receiver from the top to bottom, assuming the top position is #1.
1- Throttle/ESC
2-GY401 yellow lead (single wire)
3-Rudder
4-Elevator
5-Aileron
6-Collective
In this config, all servos are working and the controls are controling the correct surfaces. I really feel that something here isn't right. I dont' have a schematic or a sheet showing me the channel layout on this receiver, so I am sort of guessing. I used a single servo and placed it in the receiver in each position to determine what channel worked what.... hehehee
That is the story here. Everything is working, I just can't adjust my pitch or throtle curves.

I don't know GWS rx's. But another question that comes to mind, how old is it? Do you think it could have "issues" with channel mixing?

Radio is a year old and the recvr is only a few months old.... probably no problems there. I am flying my other beasts with the same radio.

AhhhhhHaaaaaa !!!! Hey dude thanks, I was thinking that may be the problemo !
Without a pin location on the receiver, it was hard to tell what worked... PLUS .... I have always been a little backwards.....
Talk to you later today !
