Just the other day was able to do my first real auto, and successful. The problem is my radio is going into failsafe every 30 seconds, i timed it, any ideas? The motor is not running and battereries charged. All the leads look fine.

And it is 30 seconds after I reset the radio. I even turned off cell phones and HD TV.

From page 19 of the 6EXH manual.

This sounds to me like exactly what is happening.

Battery Failsafe
Your system provides a second safety function called Battery Failsafe. When the airborne battery voltage drops below
approximately 3.8V, the battery fail safe function moves the throttle to a predetermined position or fast idle, if you haven’t set it.
If this happens, you should immediately land! If you need to increase throttle for your landing approach, you may temporarily
reset the failsafe function by moving the throttle stick to idle, after which you’ll have about 30 seconds of throttle control before
the battery function reactivates.

I have seen a loose tab on the cells cause this. Batteries will show fully charged, but when under load they will have low voltage. I would try another battery pack.

Think i found the problem looks like a loose connection on the negative wireand battery.

Hi Savage

sorry to jump in on your post but hoping you can help me. I have the same radio and have a question about the throttle hold feature. I have turned this feature on but it looks like it defaults to the normal pitch curve regardless of whether the radio is in Normal or Idleup mode. The Idle up feature is turned on and I have programmed a curve for this but it only seems to use the Normal curve when the throttle hold switch is engaged. Thought you might be able to help seeing as you are doing autos with yours

that was my first real auto and it wasn,t yring to do it. the radio went to failsafe because of low battery voltage. I,m not sure let me look in the manual and look at my heli and see what mine does.

I,m glad you brought that up. Mine does the same thing. That would cause a problem If I was tring to autos.
