What is the best placement for the antenna on a venom night ranger 3dxl?
There is nothing mentioned about it in the manual and it came with it bundled hanging out of a hole in the lower canopy.
Thank you.

Get a straw and wrap the antenna around it. Try not to let the coils of the wire touch each other and tape each end to prevent it from unwrapping. Then secure the straw to the landing gear.
Another solution is a whip style antenna like a deans. It cuts the long stock wire down and uses a base loaded wire to retain reception. Looks cleaner this way but one of those will cost $13-17.

I've always tried to keep my antennas straight, as you lose quite a bit of range by wrapping them up (probably not enough to lose control, but perhaps enough to cause glitches). A whip antenna is a good idea too.

I'll second that vote, just installed one on my Revo. Very small and works great!
