I want to use it to transmit a signal from a standard cam corder to a ground monitor.

Hmmm,
$132 AUD (I'm guessing that's Australian Dollars?) for a 50mw transmitter seems a little high. You really won't get much range with 50mw. It says 50~80m outdoors, which may be enough on a T-Rex 600.

Personally, I'd recommend something at least in the 200mw range, but that's just my opinion, I've been wrong before :)
