We will be having our "Tweak N Tune" Spring Funfly again this year in Bolivar, MO May 18-20. Wipe your calendars clean and prepare to be there. This year's event will be biggest and the best "Tweak N Tune" we have had yet! We will keep you all posted in this thread on all the nessasary detail as we get closer to the event. 3 days of fun! We have enough room to have a flight line as long as IRCHA!! See yall there!

The above listed hotels are less than 5-min from the field. There are other hotels on the North part of Springfield that are 20-30min away from the field as well. Also there is a Comfort INN in Buffalo, MO which is about 20min east of Bolivar on HWY 32.

Just a side note our field is very electric friendly with many outlets in the club house for those e-Heli pilots.

Just for a little info on our events. We run a very low pressure/ relaxing event. We have no contests at our events just a great time. Now if a few people want to do their own auto contest or something...no prob, but nothing official. Just good music(we play music all day long and until the night flying is over at night), food, flying, and fun! We also have night flying every year until all hours of the night(I think I left the field finally last year on Saturday night at about 4am). Camping is allowed at the field as well, but no hookups. RV's and Trailers are welcome. So prepare to be here for an awesome event!

I will keep everyone posted on what's happening, and who's coming!! If you plan on attending please E-mail me at tweekntune07@yahoo.com so I can put together a pilots list of who will be attending.

Is that the same weekend as commencement for the college in the area? I just checked Travelocity for a hotel and they are all booked up that weekend, same as last year.

There are hotels avaialble in the surrounding towns. This flyin happened to fall on the same weekend again but we could not change it because it would put the event too close to other flyins like Little Rock, St.Louis, Huntsville..ect. There are tons of hotels on the north side of Springfield which is only a 20 min drive to the field.

I'll be out Thurday late afternoon getting the field ready. I'll begin by fogging the field with nitro fumes to kill skeeters and any other annoying bug.

Holy rotor blades Batman!!

By noon the sky was full of ripping blades. ALL of THE hottest flyers in the country have made this event and this is just the first day. Imagine Alan Szabo, HC, Bert Kammerer, all in the air at the same time. Unbelievable!! :WOW

I got to meet Clint Stone, H to the C, and the man himself Will James. Great bunch of guys!
