View Full Version : TP1010 cell count confusion...

I tried recharging the 2cell, 11mah LiPo that came with my Trex 600 on my TP1010 and even after setting the charger to 2 cell, it complains about improper voltage or incorrect polarity. Tweaking the charge rate doesn't help (Didn't think it would, but thought I'd try) My Triton can charge it just fine using the same banana plug to deans adapter cable I'm using on the 1010.
Anyone else run into this problem?? Not a show-stopper, but a PITA.

OK, it's official. I am a moron.
Evidently leaving the balancer plugged into the data port on the charger while it's connected to the 6S pack you were just charging and trying to charge a 2S pack doesn't work. Duh... No wonder it was complaining about incorrect voltage...
Excuse me while I go sit in the corner with my dunce cap on and try to remember how to breathe..

Make sure and plug bank B in before bank A as well.

That's what I do all the time also Will. However, while watching the Finless videos on the 1010 and 210, he plugs the 6S balancer leads into the balancer bank A first and then bank B ????????????
I read somewhere that you must plug B first and THEN A ??????????

Um, the 2S receiver battery doesn't have a balance tap guys. :)
The 6S I plug in both A and B sides to the balancer, then the 7 pin to the battery itself.
I think I need Bill Engvall to give me a sign. :)

Finless SAYS always plug in B first, then proceeds to plug in the A plug first. :)
Nice to know that other people make mistakes like that.
He also mentiond the power lead and grabs the output lead (I can give him that one since he has the charger turned around for the video). :)

You have to do B before A to always 100% of the time get the balancer to see all the cells in the pack. I have seen numerous people plugging in A first and thinking their pack was defective.
