I just replaced the main frame on my blade cx, everything is hooked up properly, i quadruple checked.

I fire it up for the first time and it does ok, but as soon as its about to lift off, it flips out and spins super fast in the clock wise position. If I throttle up slightly until its about to spin out and give it some left stick it will spin out uncontrollably in the opposite direction, and continue this in any direction that I push the stick.

I have no idea whats going on other then maybe a bad 4:1?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys.

I'm the furthest thing from an expert on the CX, but that sure sounds like a gyro that's reversed. Does the CX use a gyro? Did you possibly either reverse it or turn it upside down?

Thanks, how can the gyro be hooked in backward? I'm a newb, but all the positives and negatives as well as servos are correct. Its a combined gyro/receiver so there is no wire to install improperly there.

The gyro, I believe is right side up. All its the same as my other blade cx2, so if thats a proper indicator, it should be installed correctly.

OK, it sounds like my old HB CP2. Yes, the gyro is integrated into the 4-in-1 unit, and it doesn't have a reversing switch. If it's installed right side up, you've reached the limit of my knowledge.

Thanks for the help! Would the way the font is orientated on the 4in1 be an indication of the proper orientation, or is that ab ad indicator to use?

Any one else have any ideas?

If it's right side up you should be OK. It shouldn't matter if it's rotated on that axis. Can you post a pic?

Are the blades spinning opposite directions? If I remember correctly, the motor plugs should be reversed at the 4 in 1.

Post pics of your connections, it sounds like your motors are backwards. They are left/right specific. I have a CX and have worked on it extensively. With the heli upside town, nose away from you, look at the motor gears. Which one is higher left or right?

don't forget to post pictures of the connections on the 4in1, there's also a gyro adjustment in the book.

Yep sounds like one of your motors is reversed from its intended position. Just reverse the plug on one of the motors going to the 4-in-1 and you should be fine.

But he says it will spin hard one way, or the other, depending on where his stick is to start out. If a motor were reversed, wouldn't it always spin the same direction?

OK, sorry for no pics, but I do have an update.

I reversed the motors on the 4 in 1 and took it out to fly. Well it WORKED! I was loving life! I got it about 50' away from me about 3 minutes or so into the flight and it glitched on me two times nearly grounding me. I went over reset it on the pavement and went to take off and then it happened.

The same exact darn thing. I have no idea how it is possible, I thought the reverse wires wer emy problem since it allowed me to fly, but now its doing the same thing and I am totally lost!
