Your tail gear strips? The belt strips the gear?

Exactly which part is stripping out?
There are 2 pulleys and 2 gears involved with the tail drive.
For maneuvers that really load the tail I have found that I need to keep my belt very tight. A lot tighter than what is needed on my 50. If the belt is too loose it will slip and that will wear the pulleys out pretty fast.
During the winter you have to watch the belt tension pretty close. All belt drive helies with an aluminum tail boom have a problem of the aluminum shrinking in the cold causing a loose belt. I have to tighten my belt on all of my helies before the first flight of the day any time it is below 50°F (10°C). At the end of the day I loosen the clamp bolts so the belt is not stretched when the heli warms up, I leave the bolts loose till I make my adjustment the next time out flying.
I hope that this helps.

Hy...
now the the next tail gear (the Black with 18 tooths) stripped out an lost all he´s tooths!
I have to say something: :?
The Stinger 90 is a great Helicopter FOR THIS MONEY...
but the quality of some parts are the lowest i have ever seen in a 90 size helikopter. :glasses2:
Now i have buyed some tail gears from delrin...they are a little bit more expensive, but they work reliability!
The Aluminium Rotorheadfrom the Stinger works really good!
The tail of this helikopter is so FAST! WOW!
The clutch worked great!
But the problem is, that some parts brake out or stripped out when i wanne fly with more power and a little bit aggresiv!
When the time is coming, when david change this cheap low quality parts the Stinger will be my favorit helikopter....

Exactly what Dave is trying to do. For example, main gears have stripped for me and others but I know of tons of others that have never had a problem. Its so hit and miss that its a little difficult coming to a definitive answer. For as long as the Stinger has been on the market and the initial cost of the heli, I still think they are hard to beat, and soooooo much fun to throw around :D !!
