Downloading again :-), in the waiting time, just a question.

What are the conditions for uploading big video´s to rcgroups?

Got the video, cool and nice flying. Looks like you need a 32-3 motor to me, so why not get a 32-3 MAX version :D
On the other hand, I can imagine that the heli handles nice with this light weight setup.

Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks guys...
i'm looking for one ( 32-3) figured i'd see what turns up before i buy a new one..
gonna go charge and see what they take back.
chuck

edit: the 10s set of packs took 1.9 amps back after 3 1/2 min. this is the 3rd or 4th cycle on these.
edit: the 11s set took 2.8 amps after 4 min. these packs a 5s and a 6s, are the "old formulation" and about a year old. i'll find out when i get my hands on a 32-3 and change the ratio, but i bet that will improve.

thats what i'm planning 10:1. and hopefully esprit had the 32-3 instock .
so i should have everything in hand, by friday. but supposed to snow...
guys at work said "well it's gonna snow chuckie, no helicopter for you ".
i said "wanna bet!"

hey , I dont thing MA has a pinion with a setscrew like you are needing , if its the 10t Im thinking it is , it hooks to another part that has the setscrew on it , and its 6mm.

he asked what size hole, and even if not we modified the stock one...
turned a sleeve to press on it and drilled and taped it. but the pinion was so hard it about broke the tap off in it... hopefully it'll be here tomorrow, and i'll find out. ir we have to we'll do the same to the 10T pinion. or just turn an adaptor on a lathe.
thanks for the heads up tony.

i took it out last weekend, it has plenty of power. too much for me.
i hope to get Mike to fly it this weekend. so i'll get some video worthy of posting...
right now i'm planning to do a belt drive set up. so i can run 12s.
shooting for a cross between the ion drive clintstone has and your drive,
and a battery tray similar to the razor..
the 10s packs i have, have mabey 5 -7 cycles on them and i was getting
4 1/2 min on them (still breaking them in) the 11s set are the older non "new formulation" packs and i can get 5 min from them.
gonna try some tp 5000 extreme's in 12s as soon as i get a speed controller for it . i'll save the 32.55 for a razor along with the 10s 3700's

Chuck, I'm pretty impressed with the whole thing!
Doesn't seem to be lacking in power a bit.
When are you going to make another mount for someone else to try out?

Whats the AUW for 10S and 12S?
I still like it..

cgbole
02-03-2007, 07:15 PM
it was 10.03 lbs with 11s 3700 evo's 11.01 lbs with 12s 5000 TP extreme's
probly just under 10 lbs with 10s 3700 evo's but the flight times were kinda short and very close to the limit of amps drained. the TP"S are heavier but there is so much punch with 12s it's amazing... and scarey!
he he.
