The double main gear looked pretty simple, like it was just bolted together like the Ion guys have done with double secondary gears. Don't think it required any frame mods. Boby said that MA my look at producing wider one-piece main gears.

I'll try to post a pic of Bobby putting the Ion-x2 together after overseas shipping.

Sooner or later you must be lucky..

Today was my day.. Need to get a lottery ticket.

Did piroflips and in the middle, when I was knife edge, the freaking deans disconnected.

Running BEC off the cable to the main battery, you can guess how much control I had.

Now, just when it happened, I did the final turn to get it upright, and applied positive pitch.

So 60 feet up it turned upright, perfectly level and with positive pitch it blade-stopped while fairly slowly falling.

Final drop was from about 20 feet (blades stopped almost completly)

It landed almost perfectly level on the skids, then tipping over.

Broken parts:

Landing struts.
Flybar (bent when it tipped over on it)


Well, those metal braces that holds the bottom frame to the frame bent, but nothing heat and a hammer couldnt fix.
