well almost got it ready to go..
we started with a stock nitro stratus...(thanks Bobby) :D
then removed the nitro parts...
and installed this motor mount and pinion adaptor..
we're using the stock gearing 8.18 for now with a actro 24-5 on 11s evo's
this set up worked well in my 700 ep at 8.6 ratio so we'll see what she does.

Nice looking parts! :smokin:

Any advantage(s) over an Ion-x with Stratus flybar? I guess the weight savings of a Stratus cf landing gear might help a bit, but not much overall, I'd think.
Most nitro conversions do not perform as well as electric designed heli's imop.

Looks neat and professional man, got a question or three. What batteries are you using? Cell count and configuration? Where are you placing the packs?
Could this be production stuff, or just a one-off? I've been considering an E-machine but don't care too much for the ION frameset, and not sure about the MXR for me yet.

i don't know of any advantages other than using what is at hand.
and ease of installation. also not having to deal with a secondary gear.
as for preformance,we're about to find out. but no one around here has a ion to compare it to.
we'll see

thanks wayne.
if it works out ok, i don't thinkit will be a problem to make as many mounts as needed. the program is already written, and it's just a matter of cranking more out. it's kinda of long story. this was started to convert a tempest. but things changed and we ended up with bobby smiths stratus.
right now i'm using 2 packs. 1 6s 3700 evo 20 and a 5s. the 5s is up front under the radio/ battery tray, and the 6s is under the main shaft on the bottom brace the skids attach to. running a schulze 32.55 controller w a actro 24-5. when a 32-3 gets in my hands i'll switch to a 10T pinion, and hopfully a 100T main gear or a 95. what ever i can get my hands on. as well as go to a 10s battery
