Indoor helis are fine as long as it's a CP model. :)

Here is my attempt.

The challenge is a good example of how hovering is a different skill than forward flight.

I've only had the mCPX for less than a month, and only been flying RC Helis for less than six weeks. I've put in about 70 hours on the sim and can in real life I can do lazy eights, circles and a really messy nose-in inverted 'hover' and back flips now.

Forward flight is a no-brainer these days and I have a blast at the local park when the wind is calm. I thought hovering in the house would be easy, but like I said, it is a different skill.

I'd give myself a 5/10 for this one, and I kinda panicked and had a little crash at the end.

Nice!! Maybe I'll break out the mCPX this weekend and give that a try. :)

I think thats a great attempt with an MCPX, clear hover in all directions and you were correcting constantly, all this practice will pay off when you move up to a bigger heli which will be so much more stable you will find it 2nd nature.

Thanks guys. Maybe I'll put another one up after some more practice.

And then I'll move onto Challenge #2 and #3...

Nice nose-in for as long as it lasted. It's very hard to get over the mental side of things when it comes to nose-in.

I have returned to helis after about a 5 year hiatus. Here is my attempt at the challenge. Befor I stopped flying I was able to do FF, loops, rolls and a little bit of inverted hover (way up high). I never really learned node in hover, so this challenge was a good place for me to start learing to fly again.

this was filmed with a gopro so my heli showed up really small, it is best viewed on a big screen.
