I have a JR XP6102 transmitter my question is can a Jr transmitter work with any brand reciever and servos? I have flown the smaller electrics with fixed pitch and am looking to by an electric with collective/cyclic control. I have built a gas hirobo Shuttle Plus, but am afraid to fly it untill I get used to flying an electric (less cost if I crash it). any info would be greatly appriciated. Thank you PS I have a SIM.

JR will work with any FM/PPM POSITIVE shift or shift select Rx. It will not work with a NEGATIVE shift Rx (this applies only to 72 MHz systems). Berg, Corona/Light Flight/etc, some Hitec and others will work with any FM transmitter.

For helis, PCM is better due to reduced glitch sensitivity. In that case you have to use a JR Rx.

Any servo will work with it. Some servos have "Futaba" plugs that have a key on one side. Many Rxs don't have a slot for the key, but a bit of time with a hobby knife or razor blade fixes that. :)

not true. Futaba and JR have different tuning setups, opposite ends of the spectrum and will NOT communicate.
Decide which brand of radio you like, and stay with it.

I have the JR xmtr so I'll have to make sure when I order my new electric that it comes with JR reciever. But can any servo work with any brand of receiver like pinecone said? thanks

I've used Futaba servos with Jr gear or vice versa for years. I've been told that Airtronics servos will work too, but I have not tried it.

I use Hitec, Futaba, and other brands of servos on Hitec, JR, Berg, GWS, Plantraco, and Light Flight Rxs.

Yes, you need to make sure that any combo you buy comes with a JR compatible Rx.
