picked up a new Sandisk 4gb SD HC card last week on ebay for $55! Got it today and damn!! over 900 pics at the ready with my A640 at 10mp and super fine mode!

I was previously using 1gb cards and surprised myself a few times by filling them up... something that never happened with my Nikon L1.

Only drawback is standard SD card readers will not see the card so I have to use my A640 to download the images or get an SD HC reader.

before you rush out to buy one make sure your camera is compatible

How fast is it? I thought about getting one of these but I worry it will be slower in a continuous shoot mode. I may be completely all wet, it's happened before. :) Anyway, I have a 2GB card from Samy's Camera that is supposed to be fast, but I don't have anything to compare it to. With it, my A640 will do 1 pic per second. Have you ever timed one of your 1GB cards? Do me a favor and time this new one too. Thanks! :)

I had some of the ridata cards from newegg also, and some of my card readers won't see the card on my windows laptop. :(

Sees it fine on my mac laptop though.

I got some sandisk ultra II's at costco real cheap. 1GB was $30 and 2GB was on sale for $47 last week.

900 pics, that's livin man!

Yeah, I picked up a 4GB CF card for my Rebel. If I shoot .jpg, it'll show 999 in the remaining shots window when I start off.

Even shooting raw it shows I could put nearly 300 on it. :D
