I am very new to helis, and I could use a bit of help. Is there a tutorial somewhere explaining how a heli works?
I have a used EB gasser, hansen 260, 800mm v blades, futaba 9caps, and need a bit of help with my radio setup.
Taking into consideration that I am complete newbie, can someone run through the servos and what they do exactly(obviously not the tail or throttle) and where they plug into the receiver.
I will be ordering the manual from Bergen, but I would like to fly on Friday and Saturday.
Please excuse my ignorance regarding the servos and what they do, I bought a few helis 2 months ago to learn on and never adjusted anything, I just charged them and went flying.
Thanks a million.
Kyle

Check the pilot locator on here or elsewhere. I would really get someone for first hand help if you're that unsure about setup. This sounds like a receipe for disaster.
I don't want to discourage you at all but an EB swinging 800's can do some serious damage to you and others.

I was thinking along the same lines guys.

You have a lot to figure out and learn, and trying to do it in such a short period of time, I'm afraid will end up with needing some repair parts.

At the very least, try and find someone local to help with setup, otherwise this bird may end up like the first few.....

Kyle -

I am in Norco / Corona and fly out of CCF http://www.circlecityflyers.com

Stop by on the weekend and we can get that gasser ready to go.

Thanks for the help. These helis are like my boat, I just drive it, but can't fix it.

Ron would definately be the guy to see. Knows his Bergens. And if your lucky, he'll give you a turbine demo. :D Way cool!
