Installed a G90 into a CPP tonight and have an issue I am not sure about. As soon as I give any collective the tail wants to push at about 3/4 speed. The only way I can get it to not do this is if I am at 50% on the TX which is really 0%. Any movement towards HH and the tail takes off. The proportion on the 3-1 is at zero as well as the adjustment on the gyro.
If I shove the stick to the left for a second sometimes it will stop but starts up and goes back to 3/4 speed in a couple of seconds.
The gyro came off a pretty banged up CPP but physically it looks fine. Is there any way to test it to make sure it is ok other than what I am doing?
Any ideas?
Thanks a bunch,
Thomas

I have the same set up and you need to move your trim on your tail to the left .... on a fresh battery you have to move it far left and as you fly you will be adjusting it back to neutral. On normal mode about 50% the trim is almost centered. maybe that will help.

I just installed a g90 gyro on my blade cpp, because of a tail issue I have been fighting for about a month now. And now my tial is doing the same thing you just described. Not sure what to do about it.

Same with me.
I notice when I start to take off the tail will really pull it Right. Once I stop the tail and get her in the air the tail holds very well. I only have a problem when I am taking of.
I never solved this problem since it was only on take off.

With mine, I have to hold left rudder until the blades start to spin in order to keep the tail from moving during the first spool up (that is when it's working right), after that it's fine.

You can only do so much with the stock 3-in-1 as it commands the tail ESC to automatically do some revo mixing at startup. This is normal and you soon get used to having to hold a little left rudder until you are airborne.
As far as the Gyro commanding 3/4 tail throttle, if you are using the stock TX then you will have to trim the rudder left alot. With a Computer TX you would use subtrim until it was at the level you want. Although a HH gyro should in theory take no subtrim/ trim to make it hold alas only the really good gyros work that well and most of them are too big to fit the CP/P

Thanks for the input. When I initally posted I had not tried the bird in flight, only powered it up on the bench. Once I tried it in flight it seems to stable out and work fine. An initial stick move to the left at start up of the mains seems to stop it just ike others do.
