or is there something else I can do. Ive tried the Tri-Flow stuff and the tail is still a bit sticky than I care for, thanks.

Check your pushrod guides and the balls on the tail grips holders that's the most common cause of resistance in the tail.

Thanks epc2 Im going to do a teardown of the tail tonight and see what happens.

the other thing you can do is to use some 600 grit sandpaper lightly on the output shaft of the tail if the balls and links and guides are free. This is especially needed on anodised output shafts like on the 600. Also check the brass slider for any burrs inside the slider and you can use the same 600 rolled up to take care of them as well.
