Spektrum DX7 backup error

Help!
My brand new DX7 shows me a "BACKUP ERROR" message at startup. It does not work at all, what can be wrong? Is there any way to reset the unit? I live in Sweden and we don't have any repair sites here (yet). Please help!

Hi i have the same problem on JR X2720, there does not seem to be a backup battery inside. please someone help.

Try these links. Looks like it will need to be sent back for repair. I would think it would be covered under warranty. I've had Horizon tell me over the phone that there will be a cost but, they never asked me for any of my information or how long I've had it and just told me to send it in. This is when I had my receiver fixed. When I sent it in, it came back with no charge.

You're going to have to send it in to Horizon to be reprogrammed.

Most likely the battery was removed from the TX with the switch in the on position---this erases the TX flash memory-Horizon will reprogram it-most likely for free:smokin:
