Default Quick question on the Align Boom Struts

I'm in the final steps of completing my Gootch Helios 450PRO and I noticed that the boom struts are made of plastic... not rigid at all! Is this the same way they are on Align? I would have thought they would have been CF or aluminum... I can't imagine they are very effective at anything (other than looks) being made out of flexible material. What are the Align boom struts like? Are they also flexible?

CF rods on align pro....pretty sturdy. But even so some people don't even fly with them on.

CF? Really? Is it all one piece or are the ends removeable? the manual shows it as one piece which is why I ask.

CF with plastic ends. It comes glued on so it is 'one piece'.

Interesting... upon very close inspection, it does indeed appear that I have CF rods with plastic ends as well... strange... they seem quite flexible so I thought it was plastic... I'm surprised that CF bends as much as it does... I though it would be much more rigid than it is... I'm used to the small helis (like the 4G6 and 250) so the CF is much more rigid due to the pieces not being as long as they are on the 450.

The EXI and TAROT are CF with Aluminum ends. Very Nice.
