I had a minor crash with my Blade today (switching between Trex SE, EP8 and Blade can mess with your mind and reflexes). I am flying the Blade with my Hitec Eclipse 7.
No big deal, straightened out blades and spun it up again. It rolled over and "crashed" (if you can crash wihtout taking off).
Hmm, must be something bent. Spent time looking over heli, nothing wrong. Finally pick up Tx and notice the aileron stick is not self centering. Ahh, that explains the immediate roll. Nothing like trying to take off with full aileron.
Still not done, so take back off the Tx and mess around and find and fix the problem (must have jammed the stick in trying to prevent crash, the gimbal was now rubbing).
Ok, no big deal, go fly again. Hmm, won't arm, get flashing green/red lights. Play with a few things. Nothing. Reseat crystal, nothing Figure I must have fried 4 in 1.
Checked out threads on RC Groups, hmm, hadn't thought if digging out the stock Tx and seeing if that works. It does, OK I have fried my Eclipse. Go to open it up to check things out (maybe I popped a connector off). Hold it, the Specta module is sitting over there. Hard to tranmit a signal without an RF module.
I figured at that point it was time to stop messing with helis. :)
