I was told the 9303 was a better radio to buy if i wanted to use it for helis and airplanes. Is this true.

I wanted to buy the 10x since it seems to be the most poplular radios to use for turbine jets but was hoping to share my new radio with my helis since the current radio i am using is a little dated.

Any input on this?

I know the 10x is offered in normal and heli edition so there must be some difference?

What is the main difference between the 9303 and 10x?

Thanks

10 series offer only one type of programming whereas the rest of jr radios have multiple types. the heli version will fly airplanes just fine. you have to get creative with some mixes but its dooable as I've been flying airplanes with mine, even an ultrastick with crow.

having said all of that, the 9303 is a great radio for air/helis. the 10x is a better radio for individual disciplines but the heli version can do both with some creativity.

either way, I would recommend getting the heli version of either one. the switch layout is easier to use on the heli versions.

If you're buying new, I'd take a look at the spektrum dx-7. I just got one and its a heck of a radio for $350.
