I have an apache 505 smart balancer and a thunder-power 3s 2100 pack. I hook up the 505 to just the battery and it seems to work ok... ie. the lowest voltage cell does not light, the two higher voltage cells flash as per the joke of a manual. When the packs are balanced the err/check lamp illuminates. So it would seem that it is working OK, however when i hook it up to my triton it states that I have no battery hooked up. This is where i am lost. all connectors seem ok (compared to other postings I have found on this balancer). Could this have something to do with the first model tritons before balancing was important??
I know the charger works ok and the pack is ok when linked in series w/ the 505 the triton states open circuit. maybe a bad balancer? Any one know any confirmed resistance values through the charger circuit of the 505?
