How many people have razors so far,
have not seen many posts - that must mean not many problems - thats good,
If you are building one - lets hear whats going on,

Mine is getting close, waiting on a Duralite reg and the motor (Hacker). I am really pleased with the quality of the heli and the instructions, no problems. Should be flying by early next week.

Mine is fully built. My 10s batteries are to be delivered today. I have hovered it on 6s and 8s but not really flown it. Of course, it is raining in DC today so, I hope tomorrow is good for flying.
I had a defective Kontronic BEC so, I replaced it with a UBEC.
I am still waiting for the canopy so, I am using a T-Rex 600 canopy for now.
Otherwise, the build went very well and everthing worked as expected.

Mine is serial # 10 and I have got 10+ flights with no problems at all other readjusting belt tensions. The only problem in the build was a little excess vertical movement in the main gear but I relieved a little area in the frame with a dremel tool to have enough clearance but Min Air has already sent me the correct spacers to put between the auto hub and the tail drive pulley. With all that being said this is a well engineered machine and all went together very well.

I'll have mine in the morning! The ole' lady works at FedEx so she can intercept it from the driver and bring it home with her in the morning so I can get it one whole half a day earlier than if the driver drove all around town with it all day!! Yipeeeee :D :D :D .
I'll post the serial number when I get it. I got it from Espirit Model, the website didn't say anything about if it had the canopy or not, are they shipping with them yet? I heard the early birds will have a glass canopy and then the later ones will get the ABS canopy. I HATE ABS or any other type of plastic canopy's so I thought i'd get one coming now so I could at least have one glass canopy before they aren't available.
Anyway, I'll post the kit number just for kicks when it gets here. Damn, trying to get to sleep tonight for me is like being a kid again and it's Christmas eve and Santa is coming!!! Good thing the ole' lady isn't reading this or she'd lock me and my 'toys' in the shed!!! :arggg: Gotta love it.

I have mine, #26, first one in Australia. Haven't flown yet, waiting for correct gear set for my motor (Zpower Z50A-800)

I have #9 and I am slowly building because I am still waiting for my Neu 1515-2Y, CC HV-85, Fromeco tx battery and arizona regulator, 600mm V-Blades mains, 95mm V-Blade tails, 85mm V-Blades flybar paddles, and Airtronics 94758s for cyclic to show up. So far the instructions are top notch and the quality of the parts are second to none.
I should have everything here by next week so hope to have it flying in a week or 2.

I have #4, Built and hovering, going to the field today for a little 3d with no canopy, I have mine set up for 12 12 on pitch all the way around with jazz motor and esc, sporting 9252's on 6 volt and 3700 fp packs. I'm not into stationary flight but when hovering it seems to handle like a 90 size machine, very stable like all MA machines. The test is today.

Well the proud new addition to the hanger arrived @ 7:59 Am this morning! :D It was kit #46 and came without a canopy but at least I hope to get one of the glass canopy's instead of the later model ABS or bleach bottle canopy's that I heard they may come with. I think for now I'll modify one of my extra ION canopy's to fit for now. I still need servos and a motor fo this one so it will be a little while till I get to fly it but that's allright I am working on my ION setup right now anyway. My first impression is it looks very nice as all MA products seem to be and very simple. Gotta Love Getting A New One :!: :!:

I wonder how many fiberglass canopies were made and will be available? I would like to get a spare one if they are available.

Just got back from the field 4 flights @ 6 min, I have a Trex 600 also, You can't even compare the two. The razor fly on rails like a 90 size, very quick on cyclic with the ma paddles and 95's v's on the rear is all you need.
It feels like an extreme with the maneuvers, and very stable in hover.
But who cares about hovering anyway.

Are they sending spacers to everyone or just you?
Does the kit come with any main and/or tail blades?

I don't know if they send them automatically but if you call MA they will send you some spacers. No the kit does not come with any blades, main blades have a 14 mm blade grip so where ever you get blades make sure you get some 1mm spacers if needed.

Cool. Thanks!
I'm also curious how the dealers handle the different gear ratios. Do they have them seperate from the main heli kit box? Do they have a whole kit for each ratio? Do they throw them in the box after you specify?

They are supposed to throw them in the box after you decide which one you want.

Troy is right, the kits are the same and the ratios are the last thing in the box. I have finally seen the production model and it is cool to see the changes which have been implemented thru testing. It is really cool.

I just wanted to thank all of the MA pilots that tested the Prototypes to get us this killer E-Heli. :D :noteworthy

I'm highly considering this same motor. What gear ratio are you using? What type of cells are you running? What configuration?

sounds great!! Keep the info. coming - if you have a Razor, spread the word.
Some flight reports from the Non-MA team Reps. would be great - what you think about the model, characteristics, etc.
I am waiting for the canopy to come before the store ships to me,
Looking forward to the build,
I am seriously considering a 12S setup, but not quite sure yet - do to some potential charging issues,

Hi Vert
As suggested by Eric, I'll be using the same gear set as the Tango 4508 would use. Although, when you use the formula in the manual it worked out at 13.5. I'll be using TP3850SX batteries to start with, they are out of my E Raptor. So they're "run in", about 20 cycles on them now

I sure want to know when the stretch kit to convert the Razor to a 90 size will be available. aAnyone have any intell on that one yet? :dontknow
Shawn,
After flying an Ion shaft drive tail, who would want to fly a stretched Razor belt drive tail?
Cheers,
Tom C
