I have witness this act during motor shutdown in normal mode, when the blades are at -3 or -4 degrees. The ION-X would shake violently and can tip over. To avoid this stunt, I use the throttle hold while at 0 degree pitch, then I would wait til the blades stop spinning to bring the collective stick all the way down.

Hi Thang,
I have seen this also but only on hard surfaces, I like to make sliding auto landings when flying over a mat runway but the only ones I have had the chance to do with the Ion resulted in the dance you speak of, so I just keep it off hard surfaces. The Raptor 30s and 50s are well known for this same dance on both spool up and spool down (raptor dance), none of my previous Min Air choppers do this, I wonder what difference in this model is influencing this.

I have two E-Raptors both of mine don't do the Chicken Dance. Any anyone who has a Ion-X just keep an eye on this, when the chicken dance is going just bring to 0 pitch and wait for it to spin down.

Isn't that called ground resonance? Happens with the real ones too... This isnt an Ion specific problem...

You might want to tighten the blades a bit, mine does not do have this tendency. It could be the blades pivoting in the grip due to the negative pitch a lower RPM without sufficient force to hold them out straight. Just a thought.
