Nope, Not impressed.
Too close to yourself and your camera person and nowhere to go if things went wrong.
Why would you even do that? is outside too far to go?
Maybe you will respect them more when they take one of your arms off.

Yea... well Ive been flying for 7 years... I know what my limits are. : )

by the way.. Yes I thought about that and Im having 75 mph winds here... I cant fly outside. They are 50mph and up all weekend.

I've flown a raptor 90 off a 6 ft by 10 ft Balcony before. this was a walk in the park.

lol I don't have a trex yet gimme a break.. lol : )

Very weak. I figured you'd at least be blindfolded or something. Couldn't you at least toss in a piro-flip or two?

Job well done. It flies very steady and stable. If you can fly it upside down you can put it of the ceiling and use it as electric fan during the summer.

Sometimes I fly my blade cp upstairs in a 5x7 space with walls around. Flying it is like riding a bull its all over the place.

Nice Heli, how much did that cost you?

Thanks,

um I bought a Raptor 50.. so that was, like what $400? then I put $300 into it for the conversion, $175 for the ESC, then I bought a $400 spektrum DX7 too, so about $1,275 or so. oh and the gyro too... add that its a GY401

It's ok to take your own life in your hands but what bothers me is that you are willing to allow innocent people like your camera man to be in the same room. I don't care what your skill level is, things go wrong that we don't plan on. Go practice on the sim if you need tail in hover experience.

Nice heli and flight, that would scare the heck out of me..hehe..I was 6' away from my T-Rex 450 when I first spun it up.... at about half throttle I throttled down and backed up another 15'...these things are powerful!. hehe..
be careful you only have one life.

They know the risk they took them but if he were to fly in there with children and people that dont know the risk then thats stupid and would be in need for a beating but in a empty room with piliot and fellow heli pilot I see nothing wroung if he wants to take some riskd ion his life.

look at it this why there no room for error in skydiving but thats ok I guess

I think they was a topic on this yesterday, It is very STUPID, and very ignorant to do such things, The helis ARE NOT TOYS, they can seriously injure you or even kill you.

So that if it is windy outside, take it outside and practice in the wind, everyone thinks wind is so bad, learn to fly in it and you won't be scared to fly in it..

Should've tried a landing on the ping pong table :YeaBaby:
The wind was probably stonger in the house than outside. Looked very stable tho considering all the turbulence that must've been in there. Ground effect+wall effect+ceiling effect :rolling

One day everyone that wants to fly an RC Heli will have to have a permit or license thanks to morons like this. The good thing is, his will be suspended and want be flying.
The main reason we have to have laws and regulatory commissions is because a lot of people are too stupid to think for them self.

I can’t believe anyone would condone this stupidity. VERY POOR JUDGMENT!!

Scott, if you have an AMA membership please cancel it rignt now. I don't want to be assosciated with kids like you or have my our insurance rates go up because of a teenager with exceedingly poor judgement hurting himself or someone else. This is Hugely irresponsible behavior.

As for the rest of you who think this is 'cool', stop encouraging this crap and grow up a little. Sorry Will, but I simply can't show 'mutual respect' for these kinds of childish antics...

If you can't fly outside then fly the sim or find a large gymnasium to fly in. End of story.

i still think if he wants the risk then take his risk take it. its in his house and only him and the other idiot probally also wanting the risk would get maimed. feel free to harm yourself just keep it at that dont put other in harm and im fine with it. the best pilots in the world fly stupic going 50mph inverted 4 feet in front of themself with a .90 they know the risk let them take if as long as it on the flight line not by innocent people

A) Based on his response, I don't think he was fully aware of the risk
B) It was posted here for other young pilots to see and emulate
C) Had something bad happened, the rights we are allowed in this hobby are at risk
D) I'm sure Scott is a good kid, he just made a bad call here.

Isn't that a bit dangerous?

Scott Graham
12-15-2007, 10:24 AM
yea its a little dangerous.. no strike that its very dangerous. i know i could've died. I knew that going into it though so its fine.. its like any other sport.. like motoX.. doing a backflip has its dangers.. but people do it.. its all about risk and reward.
