Well here I am with another question for you all. I don't seem to be able to mount the switch harness that came with my 7c into the slot provided behind the servo tray. Is that normal? Is there something I need to use to do it, because I can't quite see how it'd work. I'm planning to buy a duralite regulator to use with it, should I get the one with the HD switch that could mount in that spot? Oh also, any suggestions on what to do with the rudder to gyro wires? They're dangling back there and doesn't seem to be enough room in that little clip along the sides of the body. Thanks.

Theres enoguh room, mine are in there.
Take a look at www.fromeco.org before you buy a regulator, there arizona is AWESOME.
2 regs in 1. 1 5V one for the gyro and another 5V-6V selectable for servos.
Not sure on the switch though.

Take the faceplate off of the switch before you try to mount it. That may help.

It seems that it's the small switch, SWH13. The two screws on the front of the case aren't far apart enough to go into the slots behind the servo tray.

Check out my personal gallery, I've uploaded a number of pictures of the near finished raptor build there. I managed to get the switch mounted. I was thinking of adding them to this post, but there's so many and they're not small so I don't think it would be a good idea for those on a not so fast connection.

I've thought of one more thing that didn't occur to me before. If I do go with the regulator/lipo rx battery, would it be terribly necessary to use a lithium alarm? If not, what kind of cap should I keep in mind? (ie try not to go past 10 flights, etc). Thanks.

with a battery checker, prolly nothing less that 7.4 volts. Fromeco says 7, but I rana Discharge curve on my batt, and it dropped of pretty close to 7.4 7.3V

Heh I've got a bit of an odd question. For testing the rx battery, would it be possible for me to just use a 7.4Ω resistor across the + and - battery leads to draw 1A, then use a multimeter in volt mode and measure across it to see the voltage of the battery under load?

Well gave it its first flight yesterday after work, just gave it a bit of a flight over lunch. While putting it away just now I noticed that the left side of the heli looks a little wet. It's running kinda rich right now, so would that just be oils in the exhaust? I've got a hobbico silicone exhaust deflector on it. Nitro sure is cool! Thanks.
