and yes I did a search but to no real avail, but being new to these brushless dogs, and not quite grasping how they work, would ya'll PLEASE post your throttle and pitch curves for both normal and idle up modes? And tell me what you do or don't like about your settings. I know, you're sick of the question, but I'd like to see lots of settings in one place to compare, conttrast and try.
On a side note, is it normal for these motors to spool up kinda slowly? My throttle curve (till tonight) is 0, 35, 60, 85, 85 in normal mode and it seems to really take its time spinning up. Should my curve be more aggresive? Thanks,

The spinup may be slow due to the soft start setting being enabled in your speed control. I don't have my radio here but my idle up curve is something along the lines of 100-80-100 aflying buddy of mine is running their zoom idle up at 100-90-100.

I haven't checked my pitch curve, I just tuned it by the feel of the heli and listening to the headspeed.

The slow spoolup is the soft start on the ESC. I've never had much luck with the "beep, move stick, beep beep" method of programming. It might be good to get the USB cable to program it with your computer. You do have the Castle Creations Phoenix, right? That makes it very easy to set things like the soft start, voltage cutoff, and timing.

I run a pretty normal throttle curve in normal mode. I think it's 0, 25, 50, 75, 100. My idle up curve isn't really a curve at all. It's 85% straight across. But I'm going to try 90% next time I fly.

Are you running on the Gov setting of the pheonix Rob? I got a lot of speed variations with mine when I tried it.

No, I'm not using the governor mode. Just a flat throttle curve. The head speed is too high for my tachometer so I can't confirm the speed, but it sounds like it stays pretty consistent.

im set at 35-75-90-90 at normal mode.
seems ok. i dont use any kind of soft spool up. gets me off guard sometimes cause im used to the clutch on a nitro and not instant headspead with an electric.
