in order to work my gimbal and mount pan controls I used a gimbal from an old transmitter i had lying around, it was a walkera transmitter and is/was a POS, what I am interested in is pointentiometers(sp) pots.
Are there different levels of pots controls as in one has more resolution than the other to give greater control? with bad pots and bad electrics (assuming the walkerea does not have a high resolution in the raidos controls) would it matter if I upgraded the pots?
I am going to toss the gimbal and go straight to knobs I feel they may offer grater control. right now I suffer from this thing going wild when i power the system on then I have to fight to trim the gimbal all while my lens is banging off the ground and I am getting dizzy from watching the heli spin.
The heli is now solid as far all electrics and wiring, now I need to work on pilot controls and Ill be ready to roll, any suggestions for controls, pots, other ideas for electics etc.. would be greatly appreciated.
