Fury bearing question

In the following diagram, part number 115-16. This is the bearing block for the crown gear gear support shaft. I took it apart, i.e., I removed the bearing to regrease it and forgot which way the flange is supposed to face, forward or aft or does it make a difference? Does it load the bearing incorrectly if installed the wrong way?

Flange goes to the back. I've replaced all mine with the upgrade bearing block.

Thanks that's what I thought. I can't afford all that fancy new upgrade stuff like you can. :)
