Hi.

I maybe want to buy an electric helicopter, but there is a couple of em now, so i would like to hear some experience.

Logo 10 3d?
Logo 14 carbon?
T-Rex 600?
Swift?
Raptor E620 SE?
Raptor E550 (i bellive it's called(?) correct me if i am wrong)?

All with 6-8 cells li-po 10 cells is to expensive to my budget

Best regards René Bjerre.

I would also like so see some pictures :D

Hej Rene ;-)

You just buy 10 smaller cells, then 10S is equal cheap ;-) Anyway, you will end up with 10S, so cheaper to start with that.

I think the T-REX600 must be about best value on the market in standard standard config, and with a FlightPower battery. The good news is that it is a nice heli to fly at the same time.

In my opinion the Raptor E550 is the hot setup with the longer boom and belt, tppacks.com lower frame kit and the a123 cells (Dewalt 36v packs!) some of the video's I have seen are quite spectacular. And the 15s packs are only around 150 bux. Go to tppacks.com and see for yourself. I have a Swift running on 10 a123 cells right now and I know you can't set up a 550mm bladed heli cheaper.

Just a thought!

Tom

Hi.

Litespeed:
Those cells are very cheap! But i think they are expensive here in Denmark.

Hej Paul, funny to meet you here :D
Wich cells are you talking about? And how many Danish kroner are you paying for those 10s packs? I have seen your thread on rc-unionen.dk and i like the t-600 very much - special with 10s :) I have seen one live many times in my local club (flown by Søren Jørgensen)

For a powerful and light 10S setup I can recommend a FlightPower EVO20 10S 3300ma battery, and for a 6S setup, people are happy with a EVO20 4900ma battery.

Look also here. http://www.helifreak.com/viewtopic.php?t=26681

And prices you will find here. http://www.flightpower.co.uk/

Even that a 6S setup works good with the right battery I prefer a 10S setup to keep down the amp flow.

There will soon be a torque tube upgrade for the tail on the T-REX, so that is the one I would go fore.

If you want it cheap, go for a 100% standard T-REX600 with a good battery, and you will have a very nice heli. if you want to do it correct from the beginning, go 10S.

Don´t know about the Raptor, but know that the T-REX flies better than my Raptor 50´s.

The A123 cells might be cheaper than a good lipo battery, but at a cost, extra weight for the same flight time...extra weight is no good in a heli already heavier than air :D .
