9z vs 12 or 14Z

I own a 9Z,

Question does the 12 or 14 offer any real significant advantages over the 9Z?? Or is it just the latest and greatest to have?

steve, can I just buy the 12Z radio alone and use with current my 9Z receiver - or do I have to buy the radio with new receiver as well?

Also, do you hear if Futaba is coming out with a DX7 type Frequency solution - I would definitely wait for that,

It seems like Radios are changing as fast as PC technology.

Yes you can use the 12Z with 1024 PCM receivers
You can also use it with PPM receivers.
But the best deal is using it with the G3 2048 receivers that were designed for it.

Brand new the 12Z comes with TX, G3 RX, RX battery, Carrying Case, Strap, and manuels.

Only way I know to buy the 12Z tx only is to find someone that is selling it. Personally I would buy it with the receiver to get the full outstanding effect of the radio.
