Just discovered this "hobby" a few weeks ago and I am pumped. I haven't been this excited since I was a kid. This has confirmed to my wife that I am, yes, still a child. As she reminds me - the only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

A few weeks before Christmas I was looking for something unusual for my kids for Christmas. While surfing the web, I came across a site advertising the Picco Z's. I ordered a set of three, and of course, when they arrived I just had to check them out. The rest is now history.

Last week I purchased a CX2 and have been flying it as much as possible since. My plan is to upgrade my CX2, purchase one or two more dual blade heli's, fly as much as possible, then be ready to move on to a more advanced heli by this summer. I have about a thousand questions, but I'll just throw a few out for now:

What upgrades should I make to the CX2 to improve performance?

What upgrades are not worth the money?

Are brushless motors avialable for the CX2 and are they a worthwhile upgrade?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Aluminum upper and lower heads (things that hold the blades) and better landing struts...fly the heck out of it.

as above also you can use the next hole along on the servo horn to give more swash movement upgrade motors and battery.

Better LiPo battery for more power. Like Jermo said upper and lower aluminum rotor heads are a MUST. Moving the swash links out one hole on the servo arms is a good idea if you feel you need faster and more responsive flight. Shortening the flybar or installing a Vortex 47 heli flybar is a big help too, no more flybar crashing into the lower blades when transitioning in FFF.

Nothing else is needed, try to stay as light as possible to continue enjoying the CX2, weight is the enemy.
The stock motors work fine in My CX and CX2 so i wouldn't worry about them.
Brushless conversion is possible, but noone makes a kit for it, you would have to come up with a working solution yourself. It has been done.
