Im pretty excited myself, 4 new helis hot dammn. My mind can only dream about the possibilities. Imagine a 450 sized Mikado, althougth it wouldnt appeal to me too much it would be nice for others.

Very exciting :D
From what I understand the new heli or helis is a modular concept that can be strectched to fit your needs - starting at 500mm blades. Sounds pretty smart.
Hopefully they have included a driven tail and support for full size servos :)

I'll be definetely more excited once I see some specs and better pics. So far have only been able to spot small jpg pics of the 500 here and there on the net but no information on it or any of the develoments. I think the key for a 500 size from Mikado had better be as Lorents said "driven tail". The Logo 10 is a fantastic machine but it has always suffered not having a driven tail imho. A 450 size would appeal to me sore certain and I think there seems to be still a big micro market out there for sure, what would really appeal to me is a helis slightly bigger than the L14, based around the balance and power of 12S and able to run 690s, then you could really have a beast indeed. Other major wants of mine to the Logos would be fullsize servos as well like Lorents mentioned as well, this is abit of a stickler imho. Very exciting indeed, I do hope there is more information and pictures available soon though.

Ralf from Mikado made a post in another forum stating they are going to introduce 4 new helis in a few weeks at the Nurmberg toy fair. Other than that he is being pretty tight lipped about it.

I snagged this from th AP board hope yall dont mind.
This was announced today on RCG by Ralf Buxnowitz, Mikado founder.
Here is a quote from Sean Plummer:-
Hello all,
Last month Mikado made a visit to our facility, here in Arizona. We were fortunate enough to see the NEW GENERATION of Mikado Helicopters. Here are some details:
A. The new models will incorporate over 15 years of ELECTRIC HELICOPTER MANUFACTURING experience. Mr. Ralf Buxnovitz is the Founder of MIKADO, and has personally lead the design team on the New models. Mikado has chose to utilize SEVERAL INNOVATIONS previously not seen on electric helicopters to date. The new design puts special emphasis on VERY RIDGID and LIGHT WEIGHT engineering parameters. These models are designed to be the BEST PERFORMING electric helicopters available at any price.
B. The models will utilize many totally new parts and many of the latest generation Logo parts that have been evolving over the last few years.
C. Different Canopys will be Available, and interchangable to the different models.
D. The models will be capable of using 5S to 12S lipoly Batteries
E. The models have a generous Motor mounting area allowing for both larger Outside-runner and Inside-runner type motors. The mounting will also accomidate both small and large pinions.
F. All model will utilize a new gear drive tail technology
F. Full size or Mini servos can be used on all new models.
Best regards,
Mr. Sean Plummer

Looks good for new AP platforms, considering the good rep the current models have already.

i would also like to see the 10 have a driven tail
I've seen two requests for this now. Are you guys looking to do piros during autos? Why the driven tail? I'm going way out of my way to make my T-Rex 450 tail non-driven.

I'll second(or third) the motion for full-sized servos. I would like to see a full 50 sized heli with 600mm or 620mm blades and a frame that accepted 9252's. The driven tail is nice but not having it has really forced me to improve my autos.
What an awesome time to be in this hobby! New, truly high performance electric helis with high discharge batteries that rival nitro power, digital signal radios, flybar-less heads, brushless motor servos etc.
I'll be on the waiting list when these new models come out!

I do piroing in autos all the time, it is what life is all about man. ;)
I actually do a lot of piros in autos, really, not sure how I would enjoy a non-driven tail....
That is the thing keeping me from turning one of my 14's into a 10.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Mikado have to offer in 2k7. I have a friend who was going to buy a Logo 10 soon whom I've told to hold off until we see what they bring out.
I've been saving for a Logo 14 for ages myself, but now it looks like that's going to be superseeded. I just hope whatever replaces it is as damn sexy as the 14 :D
It's going to be a long wait until February :D

Heh the Bionic is ugly indeed, I didn't like the L14 one at all, now I love it, very aggressive looking I think. They are different though for certain.

Totally agree with Shawn on the canopies. Didnt quite like them at first but when I look at them now all I can see is fun, smoothness and tons of power :D
