What brand of crystals does the BCPP use? If I get a 9c will the Futaba crystal work? Meaning can I just match the 9c with the channel that is in my stock blade with the Futaba crystal or do I need to get a different brand? Bird maybe?
Thanks,
Thomas

You will need a single conversion Futaba compatible crystal to get a 9C to talk to the Rx in a BCPP. The Futaba "shorty" crystal works perfectly. You will need to set up the model in the 9C to PPM.

I just use the stock transmitter crystal and put it in my Futaba, works great.

Technically, that's illegal, but if you send me $20 I won't report you to the FCC. :)
Besides, the 9C radios are modular - Gotta buy an RF module for the Freq you want or change the Rx frequency.
I see Tower has the new synthesized module for the 9Cs at $90
