You are bidding on a very nice Vario BK 117 Heli built by AirStar International.

It has all Futaba radio equipment installed (401 Gyro, Receiver, & Servos), and Vario blades for the 4 blade head. The strobe lights and nav lights are on a seperate battery than the radio equipment. All you need to fly is add fuel. It has only been flown a couple of times, mostly sitting as an awesome display, but it flies great and has never been wrecked or repaired. Take a look at the pics for yourself, if you want a stunning heli for your collection, look no further. It has show winning detail.... The length of the fuselage w/o blades is 60". If you have any more questions or want to see other pics please feel free to ask...

Buyer beware. I do not buy anything from anyone with zero feedback.

Well people with zero feedback sell stuff, they have to start somewhere but that sure looks, walks and quacks like a duck.

The best way to tell is email the seller asking for a closeup picture of something, or say you have a friend in his area and ask for a phone number to make arrangements for your friend to look it over and take some additional pictures. If you get some run around about it being in storage or some bs like that you know, if he comes up with a real number and is willing to meet or whatever it may just be someone that is selling for thier first time.

It's too easy for someone to "borrow" a picture of a high-ticket item and sell it on a brand new ebay account. I dont want to be the first guy to take the risk so to speak.

I remember seeing this particular model (this paint scheme at least) either in a magazine or on the web somewhere. Ill bet that because there are so few Vario owners in the US that someone here knows the owner of this model and can vouch for wether this is legit.

Hey there everyone....I called Josef of Airstar International to ask him about that helicopter that is posted. He did build a couple like that one, but one like that was never originally sent to the east coast.

There was an auction on eBay within the last few months for that helicopter, or an almost identical one. The original owner was from Northern California and he placed it on eBay a few months ago for something around $3500-$4000.

This may be a different helicopter or it could be someone who may have purchased it second hand from the original owner.

The best thing to do would be to correspond with the person who posted it and see how legit it seems. If you have your heart set on it, then you may want to consider requesting COD and verifying the contents of the package before paying the deliver person.

I don't buy scalers unless I know the owners personally.
