Feathering Shaft Sleeve?

Anyone using this feathering shaft sleeve? If so, why?

I noticed in Finless Bob's T500 build video that he did not use them. Just curious why you would or would not want to use one. I'm using Trueblood green dampeners in my build at the moment.

The older kits, like the one Finless was building, didn't come with the sleeve.

What it's for is to make the dampners last longer. Not needed, but if your kit came with one, put it in. If you notice your dampners getting bad quickly and you are not using the sleeve you might try one.

My older 500 does not have the tube, and does ware out the dampners faster than my ESP 500 that has the sleeve.
