Hello fellow Freaks. OK here is the story. I have an X-Cell 60 that I have been restoring and cleaning up from a long time in storage. I have it flying now. I just bought a Fury and now am thinking of selling the 60 but I really don't know what model it is or really what it's worth. I am posting some pics so you can see what the frame and parts look like and maybe some of you 60 experts can let me know what I have and approx what it might be worth.
Here is the description of what I have.

Carbon frames with rear carbon servo mount for the tail servo
Carbon boom supports
Carbon torque tube drive on the tail rotor
Carbon fin set (solid, not the 3D open style)
Aluminum tail boom
Plastic servo tray with standard arms and bell-cranks
Plastic canopy with a descent paint job
Carbon Fiber Heli-Max main blades
Stock plastic tail blades

I have just installed a NEW OS RF 61 that was brand new before I put two tanks through it. I have just started breaking it in, just two hover flights very rich. Along with the new engine, I also put a new fan on the machine.

Stock non uni-ball clutch in fine condition
Stock main gear (no tail control during auto-rotation)

I believe I will pull the electronics as they are brand new and use them on something else.

OK, to sum it up, looking for a value of the airframe and blades with engine and exhaust, no electronics.

I know it is probably not worth what I spent putting it together but I just want to get some idea of what it is and what it might be worth. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

It was a great heli in it's time. I do not know how many parts are available now. As far as value, maybe a few hundred to the right person.

All the parts are still available for it.

David is correct. You can still get parts for this heli very easily. There is no doubt that more advanced designs are on the market today but MA offers tons of upgrades and updates that will bolt on this heli if a person had the desire to do so.
Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated.

[ok Hey I've got this heli. Looks Like the 1001 sl kit. made probably in 1999. Its older heli but still all the parts are readliy availble at miniature aircraft usa. Its older but a good flyer very good 3D. All you need is the standard servos. I GLADLY paid 600.00 for mine only had to put about 100.00 in it. You probably cant get what you want for it, but i wouldn't sell it for less than 600.00 if not keep it and fly it. its a good heli to be so much older. mine flys good. go to www.rchelibase.com/xcell to identfy and get manuals and part numbers.

That is an X-cell Sport Trainer. The aluminum frames are upgraded to carbon.
Other than that, I bon't see any SE parts on it. It is still a sweet machine!
$600.00 would be a good price for it. I think you can get $750.00 from the right buyer.
In the right hands, it will blow a Raptor 60 away!
How do I know? I've been building and flying X-cells since 1989.
IMHO They are the finest heli's in existance.
I have also owned Kyosho's, a Raptor, a few Century heli's, American Super Mantis, Schluters and GMP. But, I'll stick with my MinAirs!
I'm pretty sure they are one of the oldest manufacturers today, and experience is the best teacher!

The X-Cell 60 ST ( Sport Trainer) has stacked aluminum frames. The Sport Trainer has had stacked aluminum frames since it was first (1999) called that. The kit is number 1001. None of the A framed type XL's were called Sport Trainer. There was the basic XL which was 1001, then there was the Custom which was 1003.

Basically the kit above is what was called Carbon Graphite kit 1004. It first came on the market in 1994

David,
The side arm anti-rotation guide is a dead give away. All of the 1004 kits had either a stamped metal or machined guide. So, that makes this helicopter either an upgraded (from bent frame) X-cell 60, or a very early X-cell 60 ST.

I have built 2 X-cell 60's, 2 ST's, an SE, a Pro 2K, a Fury Expert, a Fury Extreme and a Tempest. I am trying not to buy a Stratus until I sell one of current choppers!
