You mean like when the doctor says "he won't make it", or like "won't get to the pawn shop on time"?

Yes 3 things happen.
1) Fed Ex closes for the day
2) Chris proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is thief, only cares about his needs and that he is quite happy to turn his back on everyone on this forum who have tried to help him over the years.
3) Because heli fliers are a tight group, Chris will spend the rest of his days flying by himself.

He won't make it to the pawn shop or to FedEx. I doubt Chris cares about this or any other debt. Sad really, he had all the help and guidance to make the right decisions.....

get your dad to pay, keep in the family PAY RAY :bomb:

My dad usually DOES pay but as of the moment neither him or I have the money to pay ray. I have a 9CHP without a module I dont need. If anybody needs one ill send it out and you can check it out and then send the money for what you think its worth to ray. I start work tommorow for my father, hopefully nothing restricts me from working and I get a lot done and get paid for it. After ive got the money in my hands I will get a MO and send him what I have a little at a time until I get him paid off in full. Ray WILL get paid by either me or my dad. Thing is I have no idea FOR SURE when he will be paid off in full.

"I have a 9CHP without a module I dont need"
Man you really don't get it do you kid? You don't NEED anything except to take all you own, and get to the pawn shop and send Ray a check. Why should you get to keep your stuff to play with, and let others suffer??? How selfish are you?
MAN UP! Pawn your junk and Pay RAY!!! YOU made the problem, YOU need to fix it! NOW!!!!

same old line, full of buts, can'ts, and needs.
Explain how dad is going to pay you if he doesn't have money either?
Here's the solution, box ALL your stuff, send it to Ray. Let him sell it off and collect, and send you the balance.
At this point, No one will welcome you to an event, so not having anything to fly won't be that big an issue.
Get your butt squared away, learn to fend for yourself, take care of all your bills then come back into the hobby at a later date when you've matured.
Till then, quit coming up with excuses, let the pipe cool down, take care of this and focus on getting yourself together.
Just a 9c is all you have to sell :dontknow what about that 9z and fury. I had to sell my stratus to pay some bills and I love to fly as much the next person. I had to do what was needed.

someone should give him a hand (with his consent) by taking his stuff, selling it for him and paying what he owes to folks. when his debts are paid from selling what he has, he can have whatever is left minus a fee. seems like a fair way to go about it, better than taking him to court sueing or otherwise. anyone want to volunteer for it?

Exactly Jay. It is all about Manning up as Tom says. I don't think Chris has figured it out yet. I'm with you, I have sold many things in my life that I really liked when I had to to make ends meet. It is the way of life.

Old Saying. IF your going to play , you will have to pay.
As others have, when I have gotten in over my head on debts. I have sold some things off to pay the debts. Yes I hated to sell them, but it felt good knowing the debts were paid. It is part of the lesson of life in learning to manage finances.

Tell ya what I'll do to help, You send me your 9Z and I will personally send Ray a money order for the $300 and keep the radio until you get the $300+$50 interest, you send me the $350 and I will send you the radio back.
This looks like a very easy way for you to make things right with Ray,Chris.

who's paying you, what? I dont understand what your complaining about now, not that you have any right to complain with the stipulations being put before you. You just have to do as the owner wishes. Notice i said owner since you are not the owner since its not paid for yet..
Why do you have to make this so difficult??

Rick why don't you call his dad and ask him what is the hold up on the Pawn Shop Idea.
I think we "Know how it's coming"
This could all be settled by Saturday

I spoke to Chris and his dad last week. Some folks on here felt I was maybe getting my nose too far into it, so I agreed to lay a little lower. But I don't want to see this thing forgotten. It is a peculiar notion to owe a debt (to a friend no less) and decide which toys you don't "need". Sadly, I don't think Chris realizes that people will sell or lose pretty near anything when they have to. As much as we love our R/C helis, I think any one of us would admit they're pretty darn far down the list of "life's necessities".
I think to myself, what's worth more - my reputation or my toy heli? Come on!
You know one of the things that pisses me off about this situation... it's not just Ray that's getting hosed. This is just one more little chink in the community. When any one of us goes to buy or sell something, it's just a little more likely that the person on the other end won't be trusting - because they've seen deals go this way in our little community.

Sadly Rick, I don't think he's going to step up and pay Ray back as fast as he can. I believe he's going to do it at his convenience. He screwed over Ray, who in Chris' words "treated him like a father". Ultimately, Chris is going to bring down whoever is with him or standing by him or near him.
Here's some other posts here that should provide some good background.

I agree with Clay. Paying Ray what he owes him is way down on the bottom of his list of priorities. If Ray ( treated him like a father) in Chris's words. Then Chris would have had his ass whipped. At least that would have been what my father would have done to me. If I was in a situation like this, I would have had to sold everything I could till I repaid the amount owed.
But sadly Chris doesn't think that way. He thinks all this will just silently go away and be forgotten.

Those were actually among the first threads I read when I joined HF. I guess I just lurked on #1, but chimed in a bit on #2. It is sad that Chris isn't living up to the expectations of those that defended him - far from it.
