this looks interesting.
http://ic3.gov/
The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C).
IC3's mission is to serve as a vehicle to receive, develop, and refer criminal complaints regarding the rapidly expanding arena of cyber crime. The IC3 gives the victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations. For law enforcement and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, local and international level, IC3 provides a central referral mechanism for complaints involving Internet related crimes. read more >>

Geesh, I can't believe this hasn't been taken care of yet, first thing to do when you don't have a job is loose the toys, just ask someone who knows.
First thing to go when I got laid off was my favorite bird, but hey it paid the bills. If your not gonna take care of this at least let the guy know so he can start other avenues of collection.
Any word for us chris. Im guessen you have not made any payment yet. Your still not off the hook yet.

Yup. It's been about six weeks since the original post in this thread. And I imagine Ray had already waited several weeks before posting.

Those were actually among the first threads I read when I joined HF. I guess I just lurked on #1, but chimed in a bit on #2. It is sad that Chris isn't living up to the expectations of those that defended him - far from it.
I felt that since he is a kid he should get the benefit of the doubt, I talked to him. He is now a bit older and can afford party favors but not pay his debts. Sad if you ask me. My father would not have let me owe someone like this, it is ashame that some kids parents do not help them learn the ways and lessons of life... :(

Well, I hate to let this thread fade into oblivion. The first post was on Jan 11. It's now Feb 27th and no word on getting your friend paid yet Chris. How's that job with your father going? You still flying that heli of yours? Still paying your cell-phone bill. By the way, what does someone with no job and no money need with a cell-phone?
Isn't it time for you to sack-up and pay this debt?

I guess your happy burning brigdes right because the longer this matter drags on the less friends your going have in the word of helis and right now I dont think any of these guys think to highly of you.

man, after reading this thread, the kids lucky he ripped off such nice people.
i know plenty of people that would have "taken care of business" for half the amount he owes. no buts or i'll pay next week.
by the sound of it, this is one guy who WILL learn the hard way in life, i've seen it before.
I'm sorry for the people he ripped off, but him too, who wants to be looking over their shoulder all the time. :dontknow

it would be harder for him to pay off his debts with broken legs but perhaps he'd learn? :dontknow
I'm not that kind of person but if he messes over the wrong sort anywhere down Fla way he'll be lucky to not make friends with the Gators.

Chris has few privleges here now, so He's moved to the other forums. Maybe a few wakeups over there will show him how titght a community we are.
Chris should not own a helicopter now.. and has no right to claim to be an expert and offer advice.
Close the doors for this kid. The time has come.

I talked to Chris the morning and we have a plan. Chris has two items for sale now:
- A 9Z wc2 w/duralite battery li-ion pack (battery is about $120 new), cyclic ring, and campac module. This is the TX. It doesn't come with RX, servos, or RF module. Apparently the limiter on the top end of the collective stick is not functioning, but Chris says it flies fine that way (I don't know anything about the 9Z myself).
- Triton charger.
I will act as an intermediary for this deal because Chris feels there are plenty of people here that wouldn't be willing to deal with him. If we do a deal, you will send the money to me. I will hold onto the money until you have the radio and/or charger in hand and are happy with it. Once you give me the go ahead I'll pay Ray first, and then send whatever is left to Chris. If you don't get exactly what you paid for, you can return the gear, and I'll send you your money back.
I apologize in advance to anyone that may be offended by this arrangement. But I consider this a special case, and I want to get Ray paid. So if this is what it takes, so be it.
I consider this to be an opportunity for someone to get a good radio and a good charger at a good price (and with no risk). Please feel free to make me an offer on these items.
I'll be making this post in the classifieds as well.

that radio was formerly owned By DavidH as well. It needs to be recalibrated, but it's a good radio.

The radio was working fine when I sold it to Chris. Several people on here had witnessed me using it at an event just a few days before I sent it to Chris.
After Chris got the radio I started getting emails from him about the limit stops that are on the left stick. All 9Z's and up have limit stops on the left stick ( Mode 2).
Chris informed he had the radio apart and had attempted to remove them. I explained to him the radio would just fine with the stops still in place. That it would need calibrated if the stops were removed.
Apparently the limiter on the top end of the collective stick is not functioning,
I have no idea what he is talking about or what the problem is.
The radio was in great condition when it was sent to him.

Spork:
What did he say was the reason for not going to the Pawn shop??
I would be sure Chris sends you the radio first, before I went any farther.
Should not be a problem for him to ship it to you tomorrow.

Chris isn't exactly "linear" in the sense that you and I probably are. He knows he has a debt, and claims he will pay it, but it takes some significant motivating to convince him it's time to sell stuff. If I can avoid it, I want to keep the radio from going through my hands. I figure this is zero-risk for everyone, because I will hold the funds until the buyer gets the gear and approves the payment. I suspect (hope) people know me well enough to know I can be trusted with their money until they're satisfied.
