Spork, based on David PM'ing me I think Chris may have really hosed up this radio beyond what I might be able to do. It might be a waste of time to send it to me but I am still willing to have a look.

But is it worth the buyer crashing a plane or heli rather than having a professional radio tech look at it? Up to the buyer here I can go either way but I dont want to be responsible for a crash or something if the radio was hosed up by Chris beyond just needing calibration. Understand?
David seems to think in fact it may be dorked up beyond just needing calibration.....

If the buyer want to do it themselves I have a web page here explaining how to do it:
http://home.socal.rr.com/hotweb/futabaserv/
It's pretty easy....

I told rick im leaving the hobby for good so all my stuff is up for sale...

So how's that going Chris? You got that TX shipped out yet?

I thought not. I bet you haven't even listed this stuff in the classifieds.

EDIT:

Yup. I just checked your posts. No posts in the classifieds. So that stuff really is for sale, but not actually listed. I'm sure someone with your history should have no trouble selling gear WITHOUT EVEN LISTING IT. I guess you're pretty busy not earning the few bucks you owe Ray.

It's almost unbearable how stupid you think we are.

Just a quick update. I did forward the name of a buyer to Chris, but the buyer hasn't heard a word from him. So the score is this:

Chris owes Ray money.
Chris claims his gear is for sale so he can pay Ray.
Chris is handed a very fair offer ($350 for the TX without RF module).
Chris is back under a rock like the snake that he is.

Yes, I'd say Chris is getting out of the hobby. But it's not because he's selling all his gear. At this point he can't show up at any field, and probably couldn't buy parts even on-line.

Rick,
He is online.
Anyway sorry you wasted your time trying to get him to do the right thing. Ray had wrote off getting paid when he made the post about it. He knew Chris would not pay him. It is a shame because Chris messed it up for other modelers that Ray would consider trusting. Ray is a super guy and will do anything for anyone. But people that do things like Chris makes people like Ray think twice about helping someone. They know they will probably get burned in the end.

It would be nice if Ray was to recieve the heli and stuff from Chris. But it will never happen. Chris has too many excuses. His getting out of the hobby deal is another one of his scams.

Man. Cant belive ppl can be that stupid...
Why dont he just go dig a hole for himself to be buried in??
At least that would be smarter.
IMO, some ppl just dont have a conscience.

There is scientific evidence that some people actually do not have a conscience. Whether Chris is one of those people I can't say. I have spoken to him several times however, and I can tell you he's not the sort to connect behavior and outcome. He's also shows no respect for himself or others. Whether Ray gets his money or not, I say with very high confidence that Chris will continue to live the life he's demonstrated to us so far. If anyone would take my action I'd be happy to bet he'll be in and out of jail over the next 20+ years.

Had all day Saturday to provide a tracking number..
Monday night will determine what action we take.
Apparently the talk Chris and I had about personal honor and respect of our peers meant nothing.

Agreed. Nor did his promise to sell his gear to pay Ray. Nor did it mean anything when he got back on here to tell me "it is too for sale".

Soon enough your tax dollars will be paying for his accomodations.

Yep, probably a good thing two males can't reproduce, I'm sure with all the lovin' He's gonna get from Bubba would be equivalent to a herd of little loosers.

Alright Chris, You have failed to be a man and own your actions.
You've screwed a freind of Helifreak, and a personal freind of mine and many others.
Time and time again we have tried to steer you to the right path, and you ignore our guidance.

Enjoy your existance elsewhere, you are no longer welcome here.

He's pretty much been banned from the family, but has he been banned from this site. I mean it's pretty obvious he isn't gonna pay his dues, so why not just ban him and be done with it.

It's kinda like a kid... if anyone has ever done the counting to 10 thing... you get to 9 and the kid quits doing the "wrong" he/she is doing. It seems like ya'll are counting to 10 or something waiting for him to undo the damage.

Don't get me wrong, I do not condone his actions and I really can't stand people who do that to trusting people. I love the fact that ya'll are a close nit family  and hope to become part of the circle of trust, but I think :DH is not the answer.

If Ray needs the money, let's take up a collection for him, I get paid in a couple days and would gladly help a fellow RCer out. I am pretty sure one day Ray will help me out when I need it whether it be information or a part when I am low on cash. This is what a close nit family does right. It's not the answer, it will not bring back the item that was stolen, but it will help a friend...

Just my 2¢... take it for what it's worth at no cost...

I think you missed some of the point here. It is not if Ray needs the money, it is Ray is owed/due the money. I believe this is a principle thing, more than a need thing. Chris has had more chances than most to make thing right, and walk the right path. He has chosen his path, and it does not run here. I feel for Ray, he took a chance to give Chris a chance, unfortunately both lost. Yes, Chris may feel he made out with some free parts, but in reality he has lost more than he ever gained, for as it sits now, if he showed up at most south east flying fields I bet he would be hard pressed to find someone to loan him a piece of fuel tubing if he needed it, let alone let him fly there. To me at least, the greater part of this hobby is the interaction with the people you meet, I doubt I would be in this hobby if I had to fly alone.
