That's two messages in a row (different threads) I've read from "Clay the Terminator".

Just havin' fun. You've definitely done the right thing.

I normally don't throw my admin powers around. I'm the nice laid back guy and I hate being the heavy. You gotta do what you gotta do though.

Well good lesson learned I guess. Never ship out item until you get paid, and never deal with Chris.

Not sure what when with Ray and Chris and others, and I know law is different from state to state, and there still be a way for Ray to get paid. Know few tricks since I am Mortgage and consulting with way too many SubPrimes... <-- as you know they are going down. Just got done with one leagle issue and I personally couldn't make the payment in time and lost the good deal but always looking and fund reserved, and not wait until payday. <-- sorry Tony didn't mean to pay you late but had to close on loan first.

Any Ray give me a call and I might be able to help you out on this matter. Not sure what state Chris is in but I can consult with my lawer team and get his *&&^^%$%#$#@#$%^&^$%^&&%^&&$&^%%(&^*( sorry. got to keep it cool.

you can PM me or call me on my cell at 206-391-1774 Pac. Time. Please. and Hopefully I can help out. Anyone wants call on behalf of Ray that fine too. But I would need to know everything that when on between Ray and Chris for legal action.

Anthony,
The adminstration staff here all know Ray. We know what really happened. There is no legal action to take. Ray is/was being the nice guy that he is. Ray has wrote off/forgot about the money that Chris owes him. Ray was being nice to Chris and Chris didn't return the favor.
Glad you offered to help thou. Anyway Chris won't be able to attend any events in this part of the country. The staff here has tried to lead Chris in the right direction over the last couple of years. But he doesn't seem to want to listen and heed what we have told him. I don't see a bright future for him.

Tell Ray never trust anyone but him self...

That's the real damage done. Ray can sure as hell trust me, and I'll bet he could trust most people on this forum. But now it'll be a little tougher for him to do that. We'll all be a little more careful. That's how it gradually slides from a trusting community into something much different and much worse. That's the real reason I have inserted myself into these things in the past. I just don't like to see this happen.

Even with Chris banned, he's done some lasting damage. Not only to Ray, but to this on-line community.

yeah you are right about how this community has become....

I work with lot of people who gets taken advantage by other mortgage officers, who take advantage of less fortunet people... and sad part is that you get burned by people you trust....

man I don't know why I had to sit and read all 7 pages of this topic, the developments I'v read are truely like a bad movie!

I really praise you freaks for such efforts and toleration on Chris to solve this..

it kinda reminds me on my self. there was a time when I was soooo indulged in the hobby and just getting to know forward fligtht and did first loop.then I had a little financial problem, and for a moment I owed somebody some money, I knew I could never have slept if I didn't pay. so I have collected everything I own for the hobby and give them all up for sale for a rediculous price just enough to pay this friend.. had to abandon my passion to helis and it was all a reflex without thinking..
After reading this topic , now I know why I did that!

Fortunately, I think most people in this hobby have that same sensibility. There's no question that there are a few out there that don't. I just hate to see them erode the overall trust of the R/C heli community.

Man I really hate to see Ray get taken to the cleaners like that, Ray is an AWESOME Guy !! Only guy I know that will drive out to the highway (16) to deliver parts hahaha. Many a time I met him out on 16 to pick up parts, and many a time I have been to his shop in the off hours !!

Legal actions could be taken but would it do any good ?? Probably just get him to where he is going alot faster.

I dont think he will be attending anything in South GA, too bad, Ray could take out a warrant local and I could have a GSP buddy of mine pick him up. I also have a couple of Guard Buddies from FL State Patrol I went to SRT school with, but it would cost Ray as much as he is owed to persue him out of state.

Never totally count out your Legal options, there are plenty of Cops that can help on HeliFreak from all over the US.

Theft by deception is a chargable offense in most states, although not always an arrestable offense. Perp must have no intentions of paying for or back for services or merchandise. Which i dont think a Judge would have trouble finding that the kid isnt ever gonna pay this with all this evidence :lolol

Ray .. I'm sorry for ya Bro .. You are one of the Guys that make this Hobby as awesome as it is !!

If you had to try and look at the bright side of it you could say it only cost Ray a few hundred bucks to make sure he never sees Chris again.

Spork, I dont think it's people in 'this hobby', rather good people.

Any time I have owed money I feel like crap and pay it off extremely quickly. Whether a person or an organization is not important.

It may be true that good people [in general] join this hobby, but I think it is important to say the hobby does not make a good person.

R-4-L, dude that is very commendable!! I know that sort of thing is very difficult, but your willingness to dump belongings to make good on a debt shows EXCELLENT character!
As I said to spork, it does not matter if I borrowed one dollar for the vending machine at work, I am not comfortable until I have made the final payment, whatever it is.....
My hat is off to you............. :OMG

Ray is one of the most underrated vendors in the hobby.
Not only will he meet you part way if you REALLY need the part, he will answer the phone at some of the most unusual times, and acts as if he CARES that you get back flying quickly.
Chris is totally screwed, and I am pissed off on so many levels it's frustrating.
Ray is my ONLY sponsor, and I try to do all I can to help him sell parts and I deliver too if it's more or less on my way somewhere.
I stock parts for the locals on consignment, as well as fuel. These folks can either pay me, or call Ray and arrange a CC payment, either way they have the parts NOW, without having to wait on shipping. I make zero on it.
Ray has every CC'd I own on file, as well as check card numbers to assure that he can get money from me or the locals I sell stuff to.

If any of you happen to have a myspace.com account. You should post some notes on Chris's account what an outstanding citizen he is. LOL

http://www.myspace.com/chrislafollette

He seems to log in regularly to it. Let others know about how he treats people that try to help him out.

I signed up for a myspace account just to do exactly that. This was just before Chris got booted from HF. Apparently you have to be accepted into his "friends" network before you can post what an A-hole he is.

I believe that unless you have been flagged as being a 'friend of the user', any posts you make are hidden until cleared by 'that person'.

In other words, any message you post will not be shown until 'that person' OK's it, and has added you to his 'friend list'.

meh,

i just read this WHOLE thread.....

it is my opinion, that if it was i that was fooked by this loser, i would put his thumbs in a vise, and proceed to crank on it till there was barely enough space between the jaws to see light..... there would be no more RC fun. ever.i have no tolerance for this kind of stuff.

but thats just my opinion. i feel sorry for "Ray". good guys don't come along every day....... its a shame.

It doesn't matter, if someone Googles him, this will pop up, as well as others.

If he doesn't end up in prison, he will find out that things like this can haunt him throughout life. More and more employees are doing inet checks on potential employees.
